By the South Taihu Lake, the wind and tide surge as a new chapter of smart manufacturing officially begins. On April 26, the opening ceremony of Zhejiang LIGOO Power Technology Co., Ltd.’s Huzhou new plant was successfully held. This smart manufacturing center for new-energy vehicle control systems has officially entered production, marking a key move in LIGOO’s Yangtze River Delta strategic layout and opening a new journey of high-quality development.
Rao Rufeng, member of the Huzhou Municipal Government Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the South Taihu New Area Working Committee and Director of its Management Committee; Zang Xiaoyan, Member of the Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee; the General Manager of Leapmotor Lingsheng and Dr. Feifan; along with industry partners and guests from all sectors, attended to witness the event. Rooted in the Yangtze River Delta: Anchoring a New Strategic Coordinate
The Huzhou new plant is LIGOO’s first independently operated entity in the Yangtze River Delta and another core smart-manufacturing base beyond its Yantai headquarters—a key step in deepening the Yangtze River Delta new-energy industry cluster and completing its national strategic map. In 2025, LIGOO officially settled in the South Taihu New Area; under the efficient empowerment and full support of the municipal and New Area governments, the project advanced rapidly and entered production smoothly, demonstrating the strong synergy of government-enterprise collaboration and cementing the company’s industrial foundation of rooting in Huzhou, deepening in East China, and serving the nation.
In his speech, Chairman Wang Hanchao stated that the Yangtze River Delta is the core highland of China’s new-energy industry innovation and manufacturing, and that Huzhou—with its superior location, complete industry ecosystem, and first-class business environment—provides a broad stage for high-quality enterprise development. He noted that the Huzhou base is not only an important carrier for LIGOO’s smart-manufacturing upgrade but also a strategic pivot for strengthening in-house R&D, enhancing delivery capability, and expanding into global markets. He emphasized that the opening is a brand-new starting point: LIGOO will deepen its industry engagement through solid work, build its reputation through quality, take Huzhou as its strategic center to empower the Yangtze River Delta, serve the whole industry, and move toward globalization, continuously creating long-term value for the new-energy industry.
At the ceremony, Zang Xiaoyan, Member of the South Taihu New Area Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee, delivered a speech and offered congratulations on the project’s opening. She expressed high expectations for LIGOO’s future—from being China’s No. 1 professional BMS company to exploring broad international markets—and highly affirmed LIGOO as a national-level specialized and innovative “little giant” enterprise and a domestic BMS leader, noting that it achieved first-phase production in just half a year, fully demonstrating its hardcore strength and efficient execution, and representing a vivid outcome of government and enterprise working together for win-win results. She said the New Area will continue to support LIGOO’s deep development and growth in the South Taihu New Area, jointly building a benchmark project for the Yangtze River Delta new-energy industry and boosting the high-quality upgrading of the regional industry.
The General Manager of Leapmotor Lingsheng and Dr. Feifan offered warm congratulations and a speech. He said that as a top-tier domestic BMS supplier, LIGOO is a core strategic partner Leapmotor has long trusted and marched forward with. The launch of LIGOO’s Huzhou base provides an unprecedented high-quality platform for both sides to build a more resilient, efficient, innovative, and competitive industry community. Leapmotor will engage in all-round cooperation with LIGOO in technology R&D, capacity assurance, quality improvement, and cost optimization, jointly opening a new journey of deeper collaboration, tighter binding, and more fruitful outcomes, contributing to the high-quality development of China’s NEV industry.
Hardcore Smart Manufacturing: Building an Industry Benchmark Factory
As a top-tier domestic professional BMS enterprise, LIGOO shipped 3.2 million BMS units in 2025, capturing about 20% market share, with business covering three segments: automotive electronics, energy storage, and NEV contract manufacturing.
The newly commissioned Huzhou smart factory is equipped with a world-class MES system and a full set of advanced production and precision-testing equipment, adhering to autonomous and controllable technology and self-developed breakthroughs in core processes. The company has overcome multiple key bottlenecks in testing and inspection, and through its self-developed digital system achieves full-process visualized and digitalized production control, comprehensively strengthening product-quality and production-efficiency advantages.
Phase I of the factory has officially entered mass production, equipped with 10 SMT lines, 12 coating lines, 6 selective-soldering lines, and over 40 testing devices. Phase II expansion is progressing steadily and is expected to reach full capacity in July, at which point multiple intelligent production lines will be added and capacity will leapfrog to a new level.
