A Major Milestone Reached, with Innovation Moving Forward
A major milestone has been reached in the development of LIGOO New Energy’s Hefei R&D center. Recently, the main structure of Building 1 of the Hefei LIGOO Power Technology High-Reliability Control System R&D and Manufacturing Project was officially topped out following the successful pouring of the final section of concrete.
The completion of the main structure marks a key milestone in the project’s development, paving the way for the next stages of interior finishing, equipment installation, and final commissioning. According to the overall construction plan, the project is progressing at full speed and is expected to complete the company’s relocation and move-in during the first quarter of 2027, with the new R&D and office campus set to officially begin operations soon thereafter.
Located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Huolongdi Road and Caihong West Road in Hefei High-Tech Zone, the Hefei LIGOO Power Technology R&D and Manufacturing Project is a flagship project reflecting LIGOO New Energy’s strategic investment in the field of new energy electronic control technologies.
With a total investment of RMB 389.0187 million and a total gross floor area of 37,980.48 square meters, the project comprises an above-ground R&D and office building, multi-level supporting facilities, and an underground parking garage. With an integrated layout and clearly defined functional zones, the new facility is designed as a modern R&D and industrial innovation hub integrating technology development, product testing, inspection and certification, and innovation incubation.
Upgrading R&D Capabilities to Accelerate Technology Innovation
With the development of the new facility, LIGOO New Energy will comprehensively upgrade its R&D infrastructure and research environment.
The project will include dedicated product development laboratories and testing laboratories, equipped with a range of advanced R&D and testing equipment, including rapid temperature-change test chambers and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing systems.
The new center will focus on key technologies such as cloud-connected battery management systems (BMS), new energy domain controllers, and next-generation battery management systems, enabling deeper research and development across critical areas of new energy electronic control.
From expanding R&D facilities and upgrading testing equipment to strengthening investment in core technologies, the new center will further enhance LIGOO New Energy’s technology innovation ecosystem and continuously optimize its R&D platforms, accelerating the commercialization of new technologies and the development of next-generation products.
